Fortune smiles on those who deserve it, and it definitely shines on Nigerians who are known for breaking new boundaries and unclaimed territories.
The final episode of The Voice UK 2018 has Ruti Olajugbagbe as its winner.
“The 18th-year-old Nigerian was placed against Donel Mangena, Lauren Banon, Belle Voci in the final, she managed to win the competition and also secure a record deal with Republic Records”.
According to The Sun UK, Ruti Olajugbagbe, who is a student and a member of a harmony group and dance crew from Southend-on- sea, was left in tears when the host Emma Willis announced the results.
A magical singer
Her new single, Dreams, which she sang at the finale has also been released. The single was made immediately available after her win. Her coach, Sir Tom Jones disclosed:
“She is a wonderful, sincere, and magical singer.”
Sir Tom Jones had been captivated by her performance of George Ezra’s Budapest, which earned her a spot on his Team.
The final took place on Saturday, April 7 at 8:30 pm, where she battled for £100, 000(₦44.5 billion).
