Nigerian filmmaker, writer and director, Stanlee Ohikhuare’s new film, Common Man, has been nominated for an award in the Accolade Global Film Competition
, under the Social Justice/Protest Category.
We are so proud of our very own who has made it his cause to produce inspiring films that shed light on social issues in Nigeria. You may know one of his highly acclaimed productions, Deadwood,
a documentary on the plight of senior citizens in our country that was featured on Bella Naija in 2013.
Common Man will be released shortly, comprising a star-studded cast:
Deyemi Okanlawon,
Kiki Omeili,
Taiwo Gasper and
Lord Frank.
Stanlee is a graduate of the University of Benin with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts specializing in painting, but went ahead to teach himself 3D animation, graphic arts, visual effects creation among other film making techniques. He now runs a Creative Consultancy and Production Company called Mighty Jot Studios.
