Nigerian Fashion Designer, AP Apparel, To Partner With Newcastle United’s Cheik Tiote

Nigerian fashion designer, Yusuf Abubakar Tumi, known as Uzay or Mr AP, is to be the official wardrobe designer for Newcastle United’s captain, Cheick Ismael Tiote. Yusuf is to work hand-in-hand with Tiote to launch a selection of jackets, shoes and t-shirts in April 2014, local Newcastle newspapers have reported. Mr AP, who won Arise Magazine Award for designer of the year 2012/2013, is the founder of Apparelpolo and created a platform for upcoming designers in 2012 with the “Stag House Fashion Show” in Newcastle. He is working on a collection for a TV host on the Oprah Winfrey newtork “OWN”.
