Nigerian-British Actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor Nominated for Oscar Award

Nigerian-British actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, has been nominated in the ‘Best Actor’ category for his role in the award-winning movie, ’12 Years a Slave’ at the 2014 Oscar Awards.

Ejiofor was recently nominated for ‘Best Actor’ at the just concluded Golden Globe Awards for his role in the same flick. Other Africans nominated at the Oscar Awards include Kenya’s Lupita Nyong’o for ‘Best Supporting Actress’, and Somali’s Barkhad Abdi, who got nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for his role as the main villain in Captain Phillips.
