1. Chairman of Heirs Holdings and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Mr. Tony Elumelu, has launched a $100 million program to support and promote entrepreneurship across Africa. 2. For the third year now, the Anabel Group is set to hold the Nigeria Leadership Summit at the Oriental Hotel today. The Nigeria Leadership Summit is convened annually by Nicholas Okoye, CEO of Anabel Group. The aim of the summit is to provide solutions to Nigeria’s many pressing issues especially the ones that affect the younger generation of Nigeria’s population. 3. The Minister of Communications Technology, Dr. Omobola Johnson has recently stated that Nigeria’s telecoms sector is still an investment destination point for foreign investors to take advantage of, having experienced strong growth in the last seven years, attracting about 24 per cent of foreign direct investments (FDI). 4. It was announced yesterday that Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Limited, has plans to build a new dockyard in Nigeria, for the maintenance of its vessels as well as vessels of other operators in the oil and gas and maritime sectors. The company, in a statement, noted that the dockyard, which will be built in Badagry, is coming on the heels of its $1.6 billion contract with shipbuilders, Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries, for the building of six new vessels. 9. First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has launched a new product tagged ‘’personal business account’’. The product was a unique proposition to individuals who operate business accounts in their personal names to enable them to pay a maximum of N1, 500 as a flat monthly fee and while equally enjoying unlimited turnover monthly. 10. Giving Tuesday was observed for the first time in Nigeria on December 2nd, 2014 as GivingTuesdayNg, followed by an ongoing campaign, known as Giving Tide. Giving Tide is a National campaign to motivate the giving of talent, treasure and time towards the war against cancer. It is a new Nigerian movement for giving and volunteering.
