Nigeria is making arrangements to host a national women’s cricket championship in October, according to Musa Ehizoje, spokesperson for the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF).
He also told reporters on Tuesday that five teams would participate in the event scheduled to take place in Abuja, adding that the essence of the championship was to encourage and expose female cricketers to tournaments.
Ehizoje added that the exact date of the championship was not certain as the NCF board was yet to decide on the date.
