Nigeria Joins The United States Tour Operators Association

The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) has accepted Nigeria as an associate member, through the Nigerian Tourism Development Agency (NTDA). This makes Nigeria the first West African member nation of the association. The USTOA accepted Nigeria given the objectives of the Nigerian Tourism vision aligning with its. The Nigerian tourism industry contributes up to 3.3% to Nigeria’s GDP, and is expected to further grow with new investments and better security.
Speaking on the acceptance of Nigeria into the USTOA, the Director General of the NTDC, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, said, “We are excited to join USTOA and for the opportunity to be acquainted with so many reputable tour operators throughout the US. We look forward to welcoming tour operators, travel agents, and US tourists to Nigeria, where we can share with them our unique culture and legacy, along with our natural attractions and enticing activities.”
