Updates on iOS and tvOS are being released today and inclusive of this update is Apple’s new TV app. Customers across Apples’ multiple platforms will now have a single app to watch TV shows and movies, as well as to find new content to watch.
Top features of this app include the Watch Now section that has all the shows and movies from both iTunes and your apps, Up Next which takes users to the movies or shows they are currently watching or new rentals and purchases made, and Recommended which gives users a selection of curated and trending shows and movies, chosen specially by Apple’s curators.
Also, there is a Library that contains the entire collection of movies and TV shows that users have ever rented or purchased on iTunes. Finally, there’s the Store where users get to discover great new content across video services which they have not yet downloaded or are not yet subscribed to, along with the latest releases on iTunes.
With the TV app, all your account across your devices are synced so that you can switch easily to another device from where you left off on the other Apple device.
