Super Eagles International, Wilfred Ndidi, has been rated the best attacking midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues by Whoscored.
The Nigerian is a holding midfielder with the strength of two men and the wit of a brilliant forward.
Ndidi is a calm and deliberate attacker, yet the youngster can be very aggressive on the ball. His style of play has earned him a number of laurels across different competitions.
In his recent recognition by Whoscored, the Leicester City midfielder placed first ahead of Everton FC’s Idrissa Gueye and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to the statistics provided by the football analytics website, Ndidi has completed more tackles (123 total tackles) than anyone else in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and La Liga.
The brilliant Nigerian midfielder has dispossessed an opponent twice as many times as Gueye, and eight times more than Wan-Bissaka.
As a defending midfielder, the 22-year old has made 68 interceptions, 71 clearances, 279 recoveries, won 124 aerial battles and has zero errors leading to a goal. The Nigerian international has an average rating of 7.29 and a pass success accuracy of 78.8%.
Ndidi has been shown the yellow card seven different times this season, yet he has not been booked for accumulation of warning cards.
