As the year grinds to an end, you could add the cinemas to the list of fun places to go with friends and family. Here are some of the new movies you should definitely see before the year ends.

Knock Out Blessing

‘Knock Out Blessing’ is a fascinating story about Blessing, who is drawn into the life of crime in the bid to escape poverty and live her dreams. Her adventure down the path of the criminal underworld brings her head-on with the dark side of the Nigerian political system. It stars Alvin Abayomi, Ademola Adedoyin, Tony Akposeri.

Upnorth

This much talked about movie runs for 2 hours and will be in cinemas the day after Christmas. The film, written by Editi Effiong, tells the story of the heir to a thriving construction empire whose return from the United States was orchestrated to be the beginning of a series of preparations that will culminate in him taking over the reins of the family business. However, he has a mind of his own, a rebel who defies the family. It opens in cinemas on the 26th of December, 2018 and is a must see. It starts Banky W, Hilda Dokubo, Michelle Dede, among others  

Lionheart

‘Lionheart’ has been in the news a lot following its Toronto Film Festival premiere and its acquisition by online streaming platform Netflix. The film which stars Genevieve Nnaji, Chika Okpala, Kalu Ikeagwu, Kanayo O Kanayo, Nkem Owoh, Onyeka Onwenu, Pete Edochie, Steve Eboh and is being released in Nigerian Cinemas on December 21, 2018 Adaeze finds that running a company in a male-dominated sector to be fiercely challenging. She steps up to the challenge after her father falls ill and has to take a break, making every effort to prove her competence, even though she is not his favorite to head the company.  

Chief Daddy

‘Chief Daddy’ was released in cinemas last weekend.
