Movies To Watch This Weekend: ‘Klippers’ And ‘The Island’

This weekend will see the release of two major movies.
Klippers
The action-packed movie,”written and directed by Ofu Obekpa, is about an assassin sent by his psychotic employer, to kill his ex-wife. He complicates his mission after becoming familiar with his target and is left to face the consequences of his actions.
The movie’s cast includes Kevin Nash, (formerly known as Big Daddy Cool Diesel in WWE), Nigerian actor/entertainer, Conphidance, popular for his role as “Okoye” in American Gods, Francine Locke of Nashville, Risky Business, the sensational Robert Pralgo of Furious 7, and Libby Blanton of Lets Be Cops.
The Island
The Islandfollows the story of an army officer Hamza, who is caught in the shadows of a shady military intelligence unit when he intercepts a conversation on weapons sale between unknown terrorists and an agent. Enthusiastic about breaking the new intel to his superior officer, Hamza makes a discovery that is as terrifying as it is shocking.
The film is produced by Achievas Entertainment Limited and directed by Toka Mcbaror. It stars Tokunbor Idowu (T Boss), Femi Adebayo, Sambasa Nzeribe, SunkamiBahlofin, Segun Arinze. The Island has already made The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) award nominations list in several categories.
