So many plaudits have been heaped on the talent of Wigan Athletic’s exciting winger, Victor Moses but ‘a lifeguard’ is not one of the names mentioned.
Nigerian football faces one of its most draught moments in its entire history and fresh mercenaries are being assembled to put an end to it. Among the players invited for the “new look” Eagles, who were engaged in a friendly match with Peru, is former England U17 international Victor Moses.
Moses who has long been touted by the Super Eagles boss eventually had his debut with Nigeria in our last match against Rwanda. His display was dazzling to ensure that he retains his shirt for the forth coming qualifier match.
Since the retirement of Finidi George, Nigeria has had a host of wingers who could not lay claim to that position for long, but the promise this young prodigy displays revives the hope that life may yet come to our flanks.
