Microsoft, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, is organizing an accelerator program for sustainability startups. It says that this program—the Microsoft GrowthX Accelerator – will provide its participants with a chance to connect with relevant corporate and investment networks, learn from global experts, and take advantage of opportunities to significantly scale their solutions.

This accelerator, which will last for 8 weeks, will address key aspects of building a successful venture, and cover themes tied to those of the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). Those themes range from finance and trade to water and the oceans. It will feature virtual capacity-building workshops, mentor panels, 1:1 technical support, thousands of dollars in credit, and access to investors.

Benefits

This program offers the following benefits to participants:

Access tech resources they need to build their startups: at least $25,000 of free Azure credits, a Microsoft 365 License, a GitHub Enterprise License, and a broad network of tech experts
Connect with corporate organizations that will help them get ready for enterprise selling
Work with expert financial mentors to prepare them to receive investor funding
Get exposed to Microsoft’s VC partner network, and receive valuable feedback from investors

Eligibility

This program is open to startups that meet the following criteria:

Must be a technology startup
Must have developed sustainable solutions
Should be generating revenues, be at the scale-up or growth stage
