We are excited to announce that multi-talented media personality, Joy Isi Bewaji will be speaking at the Connect Nigeria Writers’ Conference taking place on the 18th of April, 2015. She is well known in the media sphere as an editor and writer with a strong opinion and a potent voice, and this is adequately reflected in her writing style. As a speaker at the conference, she will be taking us through how to write your first book and become a published author.
Joy Isi Bewaji is the author of Eko Dialogue, a collection of short stories that has been interpreted on stage by The Crowne Troupe of Nigeria.
She is a writer and columnist who has worked with several respected media platforms, including ThisDay. She has also served as editor in the media and has worked with many celebrated lifestyle magazines in Nigeria such as TW, Genevieve, Exquisite, and at one time published a community magazine called ‘Festac Breed’. Joy, who won the 2006 LEAP Africa Awards, also participated in the ‘9 writers, 4 cities tour’ which took place in Nigeria in 2009 and co-anchored The Breakfast Show on HiTV. She was also the main anchor of a socio-political breakfast show on TV Continental called “Your View”and ran a 30-minute entertainment show on CityFM.
Presently, Joy handles celebrity PR, with famous clients in her portfolio. She recently released an audio series, “Tina’s Shoes & Love Issues”- a novel idea in cosmopolitan Nigeria. Her second book, “What Pain May Bring” was published earlier this year.
