Oscar Oyinsan Hosts Virtual Webinar Class And Panel To Help MC’s And Hosts Navigate Virtual Events

Realities of Virtual MCs – Class of 2020 is a comprehensive and bespoke online course to help established and aspiring MCs to navigate the art of compering in the new world of virtual events. It is no news that the event industry, along with other sectors, has been hit by the ripple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to projections, “normal” won’t happen until 2021. This means there will be more virtual events than physical, and MCs now require an additional skill set to effectively host online events. MCs dictate the mood, pace and tempo of any event, and a virtual experience could turn out to be a disaster if not handled properly. On Saturday, 11th July 2020, the virtual class will hold from 11 am to 5 pm. The course will cover three major parts. The first part is a paid two-hour virtual class where Oscar will teach MCs how to tell a story, engage the audience and leave them inspired. It will be followed by a free breakout session where 4 speakers from across the world discuss how to get ahead of the future realities. They include BBC Africa journalist and producer Alice Muthengi (UK); global transformation maverick Gary Whitehill (USA); Kabutey Ocansey, the best MC in Ghana; and Oscar Oyinsan, the founder of The MC Company (Nigeria). Finally, in an online trivia powered by Prewin Games, participants will be rewarded with money for correctly answering questions on the topics taught and related subject matters. Speaking on the event, host Oscar Oyinsan said,
“To win the battles of the future, you need to win the battle of the mind. The role of MCs could not be more emphasised and, this July, my “Thinking out Loud with Oscar” #TOLWOSCAR series will have friends and colleagues I respect helping us navigate the future realities.” https://youtu.be/B_pKxYydTxM
The course is recommended for established and arising MCs and anyone wants to hone their public speaking and presentation skills and be more confident. The modules will cover various topics such as Lighting, Virtual etiquette, Negotiations, Client Management, Equipment and Gears, Chat Room Coordination, and How to avoid small errors that could lead to big disasters!
