A few weeks ago, Nigeria witnessed basketball scores in two football league games.
Plateau United Feeders demolished Akurba FC 79-0, while Police Machine FC trashed Bubayaro FC 67-0 in Nigerian Nationwide division promotion play-off games.
With promotion to the Nigerian Nationwide League division up for grabs, Plateau United Feeders and Police Machine went into the games level on points.
Feeders and Police Machine went rampant in the second half, scoring 72 and 61 times respectively.
The results meant that Plateau edged above Police Machine on goal difference.
The Nigeria Football Federation had set up a committee to look into the match fixing scandal and the committee gave their ruling yesterday.
The players and officials involved have been banned from the game for life while the four clubs have been banned for 10 years.
