Lagos, February 2018 – The inaugural edition of Lagos Games Festival holds at Tafawa Balewa Square from the 19th to 20th of April 2019.
The festival, powered by DoingSoon – an event ticketing & distribution startup -, is geared at celebrating the games culture in Lagos and making Lagos the games centre of Africa. The inaugural edition tagged “Lets play”opens on the 19th of April, 2019 with a symposium titled “Celebrating Games Culture in Lagos and improving the business of gaming.”
Acccording to the Project Lead, Moshood Osungbade, Lagos Games Festival aims to provide an avenue for people from different walks of life to meet, interact and have fun.Lagos is known for its hustle and bustle and the festival plans to provide an avenue for people to have fun with games during the Easter period. “Asides from providing games that people love, gamers also have the chance to check out the latest games currently in development and on the market for all platforms”, he added.
The festival will feature a series of tournaments, competitions, game showcases. More importantly, the festival will bring together the amazing talent from the Nigerian game development and playing community.
