For the natural park lover, every other form of recreation pales in comparison to finding one in Lagos. Situated along the Lekki-Epe Expressway (Km 41) is the Lufasi Nature Park, after Ajah Roundabout, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Lagos Business School, and Novare Lekki Mall (Shoprite).

With recreation as its secondary purpose, Lufasi Park is given to forest conservation which is important in checking climate change. Notwithstanding, this urban forest with an acclaimed 20 hectares of land has created a go-to place seen in the way the park is designed to give a warm welcome visitors.
There are guides who take visitors on a tour of the garden at the entrance which has a path that is bordered by flowers and palm tree plantations, through huts made of bamboo, wood mud, and palm fronds and which houses animals a few donkeys, horses, monkeys,
and wild cats, through a bridge above Lake Nora (it was almost dry when I visited and it looks rather like a small pool) and to the Ekki Forest which preserves, among other plant species, the almost extinct Ekki tree.

In addition, there is also room for sports activities like football, tennis and boxing, and a children’s playground.
Lufasi Park is open every day between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm from Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 6 pm on Sundays. Individual gate fee is ₦1000 for adults, ₦500 for kids, and specially discounted annual fees for different categories of visitors.
