Nigerian International, Wilfred Ndidi, bagged a red card in Leicester City’s last game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, and Leicester City manager Claude Puel has expressed his displeasure that the very talented youngster will miss the Foxes games against Newcastle United and Burnley.
Harsh Loss
Puel told Licester City Mercury:
“Of course he [Ndidi] is a valuable player for us. He is like other important players for us. He recovers a lot of possession and he has improved in possession also. He prevents the opponents from hitting us on the counter-attack and he has been a fantastic player for us since the beginning of the season. To lose Wilfred at this point of the season is harsh for us because we have not got a lot of players with the same attributes. We will find a solution collectively.”
Speaking on the red card, Puel admitted that it was quite difficult for the team to accept that Ndidi will be left out of the Foxes ext two outings.
“Wilfred is a crucial player for us, so it’s difficult to accept this red card. We will have to find a good solution for the coming games without him. When I watched the replay, it is not a yellow card for me.”

Ndidi has been a consistent part of the Foxes run this season with 36 appearances across all competitions and has also scored thrice for the club.
