Lanre Osibona, Nigeria’s Senior Presidential Adviser on ICT, to Open this Week’s Mobile West Africa 2017 Conference

All Amber, the organisers of this week’s Mobile West Africa 2017 conference, today announced that ‘Lanre Osibona, Senior Special Adviser on ICT to the President of Nigeria, will open the 7th annual Mobile West Africa. The event is taking place on the 17th and 18th May at The Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Matthew Dawes, the founder of the conference, remarked: “When the opportunity arose to have Mr Osibona open the proceedings I was delighted.  Having spoken in depth with Mr Osibona, what really impressed me is his open approach to the future of ICT, the role the Government wants to adopt within that, and his willingness to understand and work with all the different elements of the private sector to make it happen.

“His full-day attendance at the conference will add an extra dimension to the proceedings and the outputs.  Mobile West Africa is designed to be a high-quality, intimate, progressive event and I have always intended for it to contribute to the realisation of the potential of technology in Nigeria.  I believe that Mr Osibona’s attendance will accelerate this goal.”

The Mobile West Africa 2017 delegation will be made up of 200 senior experts including representatives from the 4 Nigerian Mobile Network Operators and all the key stakeholder groups.  The attendees are coming together to do business and facilitate industry progress.  The event is a 2-day joyride through the future of mobile content, products, and services.  For more information please visit www.mobilewestafrica.com.
