October 1, the latest movie produced by Kunle Afolayan, has won an award in the ‘Best Fiction Trailer’ category during the International Movie Trailer Festival.
The movie, which is yet to be released, won the award in 2013 just as production work for the fiction movie is yet to be completed.
“I’m happy about this award. It’s not about the money but the recognition of the hard work; the efforts of the cast and crew of October 1. It is a pointer to the fact that the film has great potentials to go places when it is eventually released. I can’t wait to see the complete film in 2014’, Afolayan said.
Filming for October 1 began in 2013 starring Sadiq Daba, Deola Sagoe, Ibrahim Chatta, David Bailey, Kehinde Bankole and Kunle Afolayan himself.
