KCee To Take Over With Debut Album On November 1st

On November 1st, rave of the moment and hit-making artiste, Kingsley Okonwo (KCee), will celebrate world-wide as he has concluded plans to take over streets and stores with the global release of his debut album. Titled, Take Over, and to be released under 5-Star Music, KCee’s first album is made up of 18 street-loving joints and a skit. The joints will include all the hits he has consistently released in succession: Give it to Me, Okpekete, Limpopo, Okepekete Remix, Okoso, and the recent club-banger, Pull Over, which features Wizkid. “It’s amazing how things have turned out so sweetly successfully for me, my brand, and my budding record label. Releasing a debut album is definitely a major career milestone. “From the humble beginning of going solo and being labeled in some quarters as a rejected and dejected artiste, God, the industry, and my fans suddenly made me a super attraction of the industry. Every single I drop got me more fans, made me much loved, and ranked me a level higher than where the last track stopped. It’s simply amazing.” Featuring some of the best musical acts in the land, Take Over is as symbolic just as it is prophetic. Symbolic because KCee, with the Album, hopes to assemble in one CD the songs that he has performed at all major events in Nigeria especially since he released Limpopo. He wants in one piece, the songs that has earned him mouth-watering endorsements with multi-national brands, and he wants fans to get in one place all his singles they’ve heard everywhere on air, online and in clubs. “That’s what Take Over is all about. It’s beyond your regular album. That’s why we are not having a launch concert. For us at 5-Star Music, it’s a dream. It begins November 1st, and I’m so glad, the album would be a collector’s item of good, chart-topping tracks.”   Michael Abimboye is a publicist and freelance entertainment journalist.
