Hearn revealed that though both boxers have not officially signed the new date, it is a ‘’done deal.’’ Further, Hearn refused to disclose the location for the Joshua Vs Tyson Fury Bout but stated that organizers are planning to build a new stadium for the fight.
‘August is about 23 degrees at 11 pm, but they want to create something very, very special…Last time they built the stadium for the Andy Ruiz fight in just seven weeks and that held 18,000 and this will be a similar setup. They have the opportunity to hold it indoors but they want to create something that’s going to just shock the world and they want to if they can build another stadium just for this fight.’ Eddie Hearn

In December 2019, Joshua beat Mexican-American, Andy Ruiz Jr, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to reclaim the belts he lost in a shock defeat earlier. 31-year-old Joshua holds the WBO, IBF, IBO, and WBA, while 32-year-old Fury holds the WBC belt. August 14 is a suitable date for the clash as it will be held after the Olympics that will end on August 8. Joshua last fought in December 2020 against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev while Fury has not fought for over a year after his victory over Deontay Wilder. Hearn expects to see a different Joshua in the build-up to the fight.
‘I think he’s excited because he’s never really, other than the Dillian Whyte fight, been in that kind of trash-talk environment. I think he wants to be in that environment, he’s got his own plans for Tyson Fury, he’s going to enjoy it…AJ has got the bit between his teeth, goading him a bit.’ HearnSource: VON Featured Image Source: Sky Sports
