Amid a whole lot of setbacks and rejected contract stories, the world of boxing still wants to see a fight between the two current big guns in the heavyweight division.

Before the rise of the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, the boxing world had only so much to offer and fans were not exactly thrilled with the content of the divisions.

This was largely due to the lack of enthralling fighters throughout the multiple fight classes.

The boxing world at the time was devoid of major feuds like we saw in the days of Muhammed Ali Vs Joe Frazier and Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield.

In a sport that features men competing for a top prize, it is inescapable that personal rivalries would be the driving force for attracting a huge crowd.

The ‘personal beef’ between Joshua and Wilder is quickly tuning into an all-time great rivalry plot, and as days turn into months, fans everywhere are eager to see an iconic fight between these two super heavyweights.

Joshua currently holds three of four major heavyweight titles, IBF title since 2016, the WBA title since 2017, and the WBO title since 2018, while Wilder is the WBC Heavyweight champion.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Joshua issued Wilder a direct challenge to come strike a deal for a fight.

Joshua says he wants to unify the heavyweight titles, and since Wilder currently holds the only other title, he wants a shot at the Bronze Bomber soon!

If he’s ready and wants to prove he’s the best in the world, [Wilder] can come see me” — Joshua

Wilder is currently scheduled to fight Dominic Breazeale on May 18, after which he has a few options including a rematch with linear champion, Fury.

Joshua, on the other hand, is billed to take on Andy Ruiz Jr. on June 1, at the Maddison Square Garden.
