JAMB’s Direct Entry Registration To Close September 15

JAMB's Direct Entry Registration To Close September 15
Dr Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Media and Information of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in an interview with a News Agency in Abuja, disclosed that the Direct Entry e-Registration portal will be closed on September 15. He urged candidates to register or do so before the deadline as there won’t be any postponement. Additionally, Dr Benjamin advised JAMB candidates to re-upload their ‘O’ level results in the new portal as the previous portal didn’t allow for the capturing of candidates level of grades. Also, quoted saying that candidates should use the approved Computer Based Test (CBT) centres for the exercise. The good thing about this is that the new portal provides a platform for the detailed category of the West African Examination Result (WAEC) of candidates for appropriate placement, which is impressive. As extracted from Vanguard newspaper, Dr Benjamin opined that the first platform used previously for the exercise did not create room for the capturing of the levels of grade such as C4, C5, C6, B1, B2, B3 and A1. He added however that the new platform would create room for the download of the level of grades rather than just asserting the grades A, B, C. Somebody who has B1 will stand a better chance than the person with B3. Dr Benjamin appended that the new platform would capture all those detailed categories of WAEC result so that no grade of the result will be left un-uploaded. He added that students could only secure admission after they might have passed through the required essentials of admission processes.
