JAMB to Build Computer Based Test Centre in Ogun - www.connectnigeria.com
The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede opines that the Computer-Based Test centre built in Abeokuta would effortlessly ease up the stress of students who are sitting for the United Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Ogun, Lagos and other southwestern states. Computer Based Centres are centres for computer based testing for the United tertiary Matriculation Examination.  This is a method of administering tests in which the responses are electronically recorded, assessed, or both. This was done after the directive of the Federal Government to construct two centres both in the North and in the South. He is excited that Ogun State government granted his application by providing the board with the expanse of land to build on. This he said after the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, laid the building foundation which would cost about an estimated 1 billion naira. The foundation is located at Oke Mesan, in Abeokuta, the capital city of the state. He noted that the mega CBT centre would cater for the teeming population who register and sit for the examination in Lagos and Ogun respectively. He believes the project would make examination process and conduct seamless for the candidates. He trusts that similar centres would be constructed in Owerri, Imo State, Bauchi state among other places.
