The Super Eagles top gun, Victor Moses scored his first goal this season for Chelsea, in their 4-2 win against Brighton and Hove Albion, in the Premier League, last Saturday.
Moses has looked to put in a goal since his last one for Chelsea last August, where Chelsea suffered a defeat to Arsenal for Community Shield. While speaking to the Blues official website, Moses said: “it’s about time”.
“I was due one and I’m very pleased to get on the score sheet. It’s important to me and I want to keep on helping the team, working hard and hopefully, score more goals in the future,” he said.
“I thought we started very well, getting the two goals early on really helped us and we showed great character. It was very important to get the three points.” He continued.
“We’ve been working so hard in training, obviously on our finishing as well, and you could see that on the pitch – everybody did really well to put the ball in the net and we’re very pleased. We also defended very well from front to back.
Once we got those two goals, we wanted to control the game, which we did. We’re very pleased and now, we’re looking forward to Wednesday’s game.” He added.
The midfielder added that he expects Chelsea to take this form to their match against Arsenal this Wednesday, for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.
Moses is ecstatic about making it to the scoreboard and is hopeful, he’ll score more goals and be of great impact to his team, as the season progresses.
