International Airport in Bauchi to Be Completed and Ready for Flights This Year

A N7.9 billion international airport, being developed in Bauchi State, will be completed this year, and will resume operation soon after. This will increase the number of international airports in Nigeria, and widen options for tourism to Bauchi State, according to the Governor, Isa Yuguda.
“The strategic location of Bauchi State as a gateway to the North-east sub-region and also being a home to the West African premier Game Reserve, the Yankari Game Reserve, makes the construction of an international airport imperative,” he said at the foundation laying ceremony of the airport.
He also described works of his administration on means of transportation in the state, saying, “It’s in realization of the direct bearing transportation has on the overall socio-economic development of the state that our government has since inception embarked on the construction of roads in different parts of the state.”
