Nigerian duo, Victor Moses and Kalu Uche have been ruled out of Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers and Confederations Cup campaign next month — due to injuries. Both attackers join Emmanuel Emenike on the treatment table and have given Keshi a lot to worry about.
Keshi said: “It’s unfortunate that they informed us when we have already finalised our provisional squad. It is now too late to start calling up replacement players.” Moses and Kalu are scheduled to undergo surgeries this summer to correct recurring injuries, having played throughout the season with the injuries.
Keshi is expected to throw Joseph Akpala, Nnamdi Oduamadi or a home based striker into the mix.
