Super Eagles Team B (home-based Eagles) have arrived in Dakar, Senegal for the second edition of the WAFU-FOX Cup of Nation slated to commence on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in the Senegalese city of Thies. The Nigerian team, comprised of 21 players and six officials, departed Abuja early on Thursday morning (September 26, 2019).

Fixtures for the sixteen teams tournament show that Nigeria, silver medalists at the inaugural edition of the tournament in Ghana in 2017, will confront the Sparrow Hawks of Togo in their first match of the competition on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Stade Lat Dior Thies. Sunday’s (September 29, 2019) tie is an opportunity for the Eagles to avenge a 4-1 loss in the hands of the Togolese on Sunday, September 22, 2019 in what was the first-leg qualifying match for the 2020 African Nations Championship.
