Undisputed cruiserweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, reveals he wants a chance to face unified heavyweight champion,
Anthony Joshua.
Oleksandr is the first man ever in history to hold all four cruiserweight titles at a time, and he will stake it all down against challenger, Tony Bellew, at the Manchester Arena on November 10.
It is not clear how Oleksandr can move through different weight classes, seeing as he has had two previous fights with David Haye at heavyweight, and will now to face Bellew in the cruiserweight bout. However the undefeated Olympic Gold medalist is looking forward to an opportunity to meet the heavyweight champ, Joshua, in the ring.
Reports gathered by
TheSun, puts Oleksandr (who was ringside during Joshua’s title defense against Alexander Povetkin) in agreement with Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, for a future bout.
“Wembley was crazy stuff. The songs, best fans ever. My hair was up all the way.The fight was thrilling for myself, I loved the way he finished it.
“One reason we have agreed to fight Bellew is to get to Joshua. It is exactly part of the strategy and why we have this co-operation with Eddie Hearn. He has Tony, he has Anthony, he has Dillian Whyte and a couple more heavyweights.”
