Making Tom Brown Porridge is very easy. It is a porridge that is common in the northern part of Nigeria and among Ghanaian’s. Most of the ingredients used are common agricultural produce found in the north. For many who do not know how it is made lets go over the process slowly.
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Corn.
A Cup of Soya Beans.
¾ cup of groundnut
A handful of dry ginger
Bits of meats and fish (optional)
Get your ingredients dried by roasting your corn, soya beans and groundnut on a saucepan, move to the grinding mill or blender to get a paste/flour mixture, remove the shafts.
Add ginger and bits of fish and meats into the mixture
Procedure:
Boil water in a pan.
When the water comes to boil, reduce the heat, slowly pour the paste into the boiled water.
Stir slowly until you get the required consistency.
Allow it to cook for a few minutes (5-10 minutes).
You have your tom brown. Serve with milk or sugar if preferred.
