Multichoice Nigeria has launched GOtv in Imo State, the General Manager of GOtv, Elizabeth Amkpa said in a statement. She said that the launching offer stood at N9,900 and was inclusive of a decoder and three months subscription for GOtv Plus and Gotenna, and that the system could be acquired at the retail office on Wethdral Road, Owerri.
GOtv would be delivered via two bouquets — GOtv Plus and GOtv with 35 channels at N1,500 monthly subscription and 27 channels at N1,000 per month. GOtv has already been launched in Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Enugu, Benin City and Aba, with channels for news, children’s programmes and documentaries for a variety of tastes and family needs.
GOtv channels include Africa Magic, Africa Magic Movies, Africa Magic World, Africa Magic Yoruba, Africa Magic Hausa, El Entertainment, Discovery World, eTVAfrica and CNN. Other channels are: Super Sport Select, Al Jazeera, Channel O, Nickelodeon, Disney Junior, Islam Channel, One Gospel, Sound City and Black Belt TV, amongst others.
Residents of Owerri are now set to benefit from easy access to an increased number of channels with enhanced picture and sound quality synonymous with digital television at a price they can afford. With the use of DVB-T2 technology, GOtv gives subscribers a dramatic improvement on the dividend of terrestrial frequencies.
