Google goes Tablet… Hello Nexus 7!

By Chilezie Unachukwu

Google has  announced Nexus 7, a branded tablet, which is the latest to the nexus family –  Google’s own “branded” line of products – was designed by Taiwan based company, ASUS. It spots a 7 inch screen and will come in two versions based on memory size. The 8GB version priced at $199 and a 16GB version priced at $249. Right now, the only device I can think of to match this pricing is the Amazon Kindle Fire which is priced at $199. This device maybe the search giant’s reply to the Kindle, if it is, then it’s a knockout from Google. The Google Nexus 7 will ship with the most recently announced Android OS 4.1 – Jelly Bean, which is another whole story for another day. But a little tip from what to expect from this version is Performance boost and extra UI touches. Below is a detailed list of specifications on the soon to be released Nexus: SCREEN WEIGHT MEMORY BATTERY CPU SIZE WIRELESS USB OS FEATURES There you have it folks, you can pre-order yours and be one of the first owners when it becomes available mid – July
