Barely two weeks after the release of the Blackberry Z10, Airtel Nigeria announces that the phones are now available in shops around the country for actual purchase, to both customers that pre-ordered and those that did not.
Speaking at the Airtel Z10 launch event at Ikoyi Club, Lagos, Airtel’s Chief Marketing Officer, Olu Akanmu acknowledged the fact that the company was the first to move beyond the preorder stage to actually offering the device for sale. “Airtel would continuously seek to consolidate its position as a pioneer of innovation in the telecoms landscape, in line with its vision of being the most loved brand in the daily lives of Nigerians. Our superior and widest 3.75G coverage across the country would further complement the distinctive computing features of the smartphone to provide customers with a delightful internet experience round-the-clock, irrespective of their location”, he said.
This is indeed good news! If you pre-ordered the phone for N100,000, regardless of colour, you can go in and pick it up now. Also, if you did not pre-order but would still like to own it, at N110,000 for black and N112,000 for the white, you will be able to.
