Former Coach and NFF Technical Director, Amodu Shaibu, Dies at 58

It has been a shocking moment for the Nigerian Football Federation and the country as a whole. Just about three days after the demise of former football coach, Stephen Keshi, another former coach, Amodu Shaibu has kicked the bucket at the age of 58.

Amodu Shaibu was a four-time manager of the Nigerian Super Eagles and Technical Director of the NFF. Reports have it that he died in his sleep after complaining of a chest pain on Friday night.

During his time, Mr Shuaib asides managing the National Super Eagles managed the BCC Lions, El-Kanemi Warriors and Shooting Stars clubs in Nigeria and the Orlando Pirates in South Africa. He qualified the national team twice for the 2002 and 2010 World Cups. Until his death, he was a supervisor of the Super Eagles and the NFF Technical Director.
