Ford Motors Releases News of its First Made-in-Nigeria Car

According to a Ventures Africa news report, Ford Motors has announced the production of its first made-in-Nigeria vehicle. This followed the news of its plans to produce the Ford range pick-up truck in the country earlier this month. The car was reportedly assembled in Coscharis Motors Limited’s Ikeja Plant. The company is set on producing ten more units daily from henceforth. This will be the second major effort of local production of automobiles, following that of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company which is Nigerian-owned. Ford Motor Company is an American automaker and the world’s fifth largest automaker based on worldwide vehicle sales. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, the automaker was founded by Henry Ford, on June 16, 1903.     Source: Ventures News Africa
