First Excel Series, A Youth Empowerment Initiative By First Bank, Is Launched

First Bank has launched a youth empowerment initiative, First Excel, for students in federal higher institutions, to motivate, inspire and encourage them towards their dreams. The program will be held across the country and will commence on February 26 at the University of Lagos, and continue on February 28 at the University of Ibadan. There would be job fairs, competitions, exhibition of First Bank products and musical performances at the events.  Willey Jolley, author of the Best Selling book, A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback, will be speaking at the events. Speaking on First Excel, The Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication of First Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, said, “First Bank is the first to introduce this kind of product in the area of youth empowerment as an integral part of its corporate responsibility. At First Bank, our goal is to remain a strong supporter of efforts geared towards equipping the youths with the skills and tools required for socio-economic empowerment through our support of youth engagement initiatives, endowment schemes and infrastructure development. Our desire is to see our strategic and need driven youth empowerment interventions culminate in equipping Nigerian youths for a bright future.”
