Tech Tuesday: Facebook Launches New Post-Breakup Feature

Breakups can be hard, but fortunately, Facebook is set on making the recovery process much smoother with this nifty new feature.
When users change their relationship status to “single,” the social application now provides the “take a break” option, which prevents them from viewing posts and photos of exes.
The former partner’s name also ceases from being displayed when a new message is being written or when tagging photos. What makes it better – he or she isn’t notified of all these “developments”.
“This work is part of our ongoing effort to develop resources for people who may be going through difficult moments in their lives,” Facebook Product Manager, Kelly Winters says.“We hope these tools will help people end relationships on Facebook with greater ease, comfort and sense of control.”
