According to a post on its blog, Facebook has announced Facebook Live Audio, the audio version of Facebook Live Video. A way for you to tell your story with just words.
With Facebook Live, you can transmit events and happenings as they occur in real time, but this is in video format. With the new Facebook Live Audio, you can now go live, voice only. Also if you’re transmitting from an area with low network connectivity, Audio would be a better option for you rather than video.
Facebook Live Audio works in the background for users of Android Phones as you can continue to listen to the live audio broadcast even if you exit the Facebook app or your phone locks. If you’re using an iOS device, you have to remain on your Facebook app, though you can be busy doing something else on the app.
Listeners can interact, ask questions, leave reactions and also share with their friends. Facebook Live Audio would be available for everyone by next year.
