Damilola Odewole, a medical doctor, is on a mission.
She is giving love to the physically challenged by providing the students at Modupe ColeMemorial Childcare sanitary items, clothes, toiletries, food, provisions, and toys, amongst others.

Damilola is a level 12 medical officer with the Lagos State Government and currently works with Harvey Road Health Centre, Yaba. Harvey Road Health Centre has a mandate from the Lagos State Government to provide health care services to pupils and residents of Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare every Friday. Hence, the nurses and doctors take turns to carry out this exercise every month.
This month, Damilola was really touched to see the pupils in such needy states. She observed that the school had need for various items.
In an interview with her, Damilola said she decided then that she would do all in her capacity to provide for these needs. To make it more memorable, the mother of two said plans to do this in her birth month, May, every year.
Although she intended to take up this project and fund it single-handedly, she decided to involve the general public instead. Her aim for doing this, she says, is to “raise awareness about the school and its residents”. Now, she engages the general public, using her Instagram and Twitter pages to solicit donations towards this laudable project.
