Enugu State, apart from being home to some of Nigeria’s finest music acts, has played host to some of the entertainment industries biggest names. This month, the coal city state will be hosting a long list of gospel ministers, including legendary American worship singer Don Moen, at an end of year concert tagged “Good Morning Enugu”.

The event will take the form of an interdenominational concert, in appreciation to God as the year winds to an end. According to a press release made available to Connect Nigeria:
“Every Good morning presents a precious opportunity to acquire knowledge and surmount the problems that seem to have had no answers the previous day, whether as individuals, families, organizations, communities or even as a nation.
“The thrust of the 2018 GOOD MORNING ENUGU is “THANKSGIVING”. However, one may ask why is there to give thanks about, and indeed it is a valid question but we must also understand that thanksgiving is not just for things that have done rightly, but thanksgiving can also be a forward appreciation for what we expect to see and we dare say that the later form of thanksgiving carries more potency.”
The event, powered by House on The Rock, The Word House, Enugu, has held annually for about a decade. Over the years the Good Morning Enugu concerts have featured Nathaniel Bassey, Tim Godfrey, Chioma Jesus and more. The 2014 edition, however, hosted Don Moen and Lenny LeBlac alongside J’dess, and Wow, of the Voice Nigeria fame, as well as Aijay. The artistes confirmed to headline Good Morning Enugu 2018 include globally renowned gospel minister, Don Moen, Nigerian hit sensations, Mercy Chinwo, reggae evangelist, Buchi, Steve Crown, Ufuoma Aaron, Freke, Nedum and Mr. M and the Revelations. This landmark event will hold at the 500,000-capacity Okpara Square on the 8th of December 2018 from 4PM. Updates on this and previous Good Morning Enugu concerts can be tracked across social media platforms, using the hashtags #GoodmornigEnugu and #GoodmorningEnugu2018.
