Emenike Eager To Enter Super Eagles’ Fold

Emmanuel Emenike has said he can’t wait to don the Nigerian colours after recovering from a knee injury. The fit-again striker has set his sights on the crucial World Cup qualifier against Malawi in September as a possible return date. Emenike just returned from a six-week injury lay-off and is eager to shoot the Super Eagles to the World Cup. According to the interview with BBC, He said, “I suffered that terrible injury while my confidence was high and luckily I have returned to training after six weeks out. “After five very difficult months, I also hope to play for my country again in September. “I am not at 100 percent yet, I still need match rhythm with my club and get back to rewarding them for the support, and honour our loyal fans and everyone who stood by me. “After five very difficult months, I also hope to play for my country again in September.” His absence was hugely felt at the ongoing FIFA Confederations Cup where Eagles’ display has been marred by a lack of cutting edge performance in front of goal.
