In a bid to bring order to the movement of trucks and tankers operating in Lagos ports, FT Logistics Global Services Ltd will soon kick off its electronic call-up system to sanitise their movement on Lagos roads.
The Chairman of the establishment, Chris Orode, said that the system which was developed with the peculiarities of logistics business in Nigeria in mind, will cancel the clogging of trucks and tankers around the ports and boost ports efficiency
He continued saying that as soon as it is operational, it will deal with the perennial gridlock problem that obstructs the roads leading into Apapa and its adjoining roads. He said that the plan involves the building of a truck park for empty containers at the International Trade Fair Complex along Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
