Eagles And Falcons Get New Media Officers

  Nigerian football ruling body, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, appointed new media officers for the country’s male and female national teams. The Group Manager, Programmes and Content in Brila Media Group, Mr Babafemi Raji, aka (Topmost Striker) was appointed the new media officer for the Super Eagles. Raji who replaced Mr Toyin Ibitoye in the national team fold, started his career in sports journalism as a freelancer with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Ile-Ife from 2003-2006 while he was an undergraduate at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

He would go on to join top Nigeria Sports Radio, Brila FM (Nigeria’s first all-sport radio station), in 2008, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. The high profile sports journalist also formed part of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Media Committee members. Aside from being a certified management consultant, Mr Raji is also a fellow of the reputable Institute of Management Consultants. Mr Toyin Ibitoye who has held the position of the Super Eagles Media Officer for five years has been outstanding and Raji is expected to toe the line of the football chief.

Furthermore, the Nigeria women’s national team media officer, Miss Jane Onyinye Nweze, has been replaced with Mrs Oluchi Tobechukwu. Ademola Olajire (Director of Media and Communications, NFF), hailed Ibitoye and Nweze for their excellent services during their time with the national team and expressed his good wishes for them in their future exploits.
