€10,000 Grant Available In The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Women Entrepreneurship For Africa Program

  The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has introduced the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (WE4A) program, designed to provide women entrepreneurs across Africa with the support—including funding –they need to scale their businesses.

The Women Entrepreneurship for Africa program will help women-led enterprises improve their capacity to access market opportunities. Through technical training, it will strengthen these businesses’ ability to raise funding for their operations. Through the program, 120 women-led businesses will get €10,000 in grant funding. Note that this program is targeted at businesses that are members of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) alumni network. The WE4A is supported by the European Union (EU), the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS), and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Eligibility

Applicants should meet these conditions to stand a chance of being selected: The program is open to businesses in all sectors.

How The Program Will Unfold

The selection process will commence after applications close. Selection will take between six and eight weeks from the application deadline. Successful applicants will be informed of their acceptance into the program via email. Participants will go through a three-month acceleration program. Trainings will take place via zoom. Up to 15 of them will be selected from that group for a growth program, which will last another three months. There will be a Demo Day at which participating startups will pitch their business to partners, mentors, donors, and investors.
