Here’s an idea: use all that leftover toilet paper rolls—the brown cylindrical paper – after you’ve converted them into paper seed pots. This way, you don’t have to spend more money on extra pots. Here are a few steps you can take to make those pots:

The Process

Step 1: Flatten the paper roll, so a sharp line appears on both sides. Then compress the role again, so that you now have four lines. These four lines will be the edges of the pot. Step 2: Using the scissors, cut the roll at the bottom of the roll, along the lines created by the folding. So you should have four cuts. The cuts should be between one and two centimeters long. The bottom should now have four flaps. Step 3: Fold the flaps inward, and let them overlap one another. This creates a bottom of the pot. Step 4: Fill the newly made paper pot with soil. Step 5: Plant your seed in the pot. You have your paper pot, with seeds planted in it.

Final Words

The good thing is that many of these paper rolls ate bio-degradable. If you plant them in the soil, they will degrade over time until the roots of the plants have grown beyond the capacity of the pot. It’s a great alternative to regular plant pots. Featured Image Source: Pinterest
