Nigerian sprinter, Divine Oduduru, has recently signed a deal with sports kits mogul, Puma.
The 22-year-old announced his big endorsement deal on his social media handle with the caption:
“New Stage of life.. Let the game begin with … Glory Up”.
Oduduru has spent the most part of his last three years training and developing himself with at Texas Tech University, where he recently set a new national record twice in the 200 meters.
The Nigerian previously won the 200m relay at the 2013 African Junior Championships, and he is also a five-time African Junior Champion and was the 2014 World Junior Silver Medalist in the 200 meters.
After his big reveal on his PUMA endorsement, the NCAA double champion announced that he is turning professional.

The Texas Tech Junior won the 100m and 200m races at the NCAA championship at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Friday 12th July 2019. He led the men’s track team of Texas Tech to its first-ever national championship. His 9.86s matched up to the World Leading time of 9.86s set by Christian Coleman and Noah Lyles.
Oduduru’s run was also the second fastest time ever recorded in the NCAA, just behind Coleman’s Collegiate Record of 9.82s.
The Nigerian’s 19.73s run in the 200m also broke the championships record of 19.87 but fell behind times raced by Michael Norman and Lyles this year.
