2. Markets
This time of the year, large-scale supermarkets will put up their stock of Christmas items. You can get artificial Christmas trees in places such as Phil Hallmark in Benin City, Next Cash and Carry in or Jabi Mall in Abuja, Grand Supermarket in Owerri, and even One Center Superstore in Festac or The City Mall in Onikan, Lagos State. Even Local Markets and most shopping districts in the country will have stores with Christmas trees for sale. 4. Nature
Last but not least is mother nature. Firs, Pine, and Spruce trees, which are the globally preferred brand for Christmas trees, grow naturally in nature. The Araucaria Columnaris is a pine look like that is more common in Nigeria. Some Nigerians even plant the Araucaria trees around their houses early on during the year and then decorate them as Christmas trees during December. If you are fortunate to get them in the wild or in your neighbourhood, you can cut them down and use them in your home for the season. But remember real plants shed and die out before the month ends if transplanted into a soil-less environment. That’s why people prefer artificial trees for Christmas.
Remember, the beauty of a Christmas tree lies in the richness of the decorations we adorn it with. Trees aren’t only useful for Pre-Christmas and Christmas day. They are also very important afterwards. So don’t hold back from putting gifts under the tree for Boxing Day.
