Music star,
D’Banj, is set to launch a platform for talented actors and scriptwriters to showcase their work and stand a chance to get sponsorship.
Opportunities
D’Banj disclosed this at the
Nigerian Entertainment Conference 2018, where he was one of the speakers, alongside
Lasisi Elenu, Inyin Abodeji, Jason Njoku, and
Martin Mabutho.
D’Banj, who had earlier set up
Creative, Reality, Entertainment, Arts and Music (CREAM) in 2016 to showcase music talents, will this time be letting scriptwriters and actors in on a similar opportunity.
He said that CREAM will be saddled with the responsibility of financing the production of the best scripts from the monthly selection.
CREAM
According to the Koko Master, this is a platform that provides the up-and-coming players in the entertainment scene with an opportunity to have their songs recorded and videos shot and produced. It will also assist with securing collaborations with more established acts in the industry.
Some of those who have so far benefited from the singer’s largesse through CREAM are
Rayce, TK Swag, MKJ, Leke Benson, Legend Courage and, most recently, the “Legbegbe” crooner,
Real Self .
“We have been doing this for the musical industry since 2016, we want to rub off on the potential actors and actresses too because we realise there are talents too in that field who need assistance. Every month beginning from May, we will be picking 10 scripts we believe will interest the viewers.”

The platform will be open on the
1st of May, 2018.
